Projects

Nike Trade Net

As a summer intern at Nike, I worked with the Global Trade team to modernize Nike Trade Net, Nike's premier global trade application. I experienced Full Stack Enterprise level web development and created a new application using React and a Serverless back-end. I worked with other teams at Nike to create a design pattern for future Serverless web applications.

Chaplain Stories

Chaplain Stories is a class project created in collaboration with history stories to explore the experience of chaplains during WW2. Myself and 3 other other students built a web application with the XAMMP stack. The site supports profiles, moderation, data visualizations, and API integration. A working version is available here

OptumDoc

OptumDOC is a patent pending unified healthcare communication platform. Together with a team of interns at Optum, we built a fully functioning healthcare communication web application from scratch using Javascript(JQuery, Express, Node.JS), HTML, and CSS(Bootstrap). I also used the Natural Language Toolkit to integrate medical-focused Natural Language Processing into the application. I worked on a REST API in order to faciliate collaboration with other teams of interns. For the messaging, video, and voice calling functionality I used the Cisco Spark API. I worked on both front end (user facing) and back end development.

GraphCrowd

As an Undergraduate Researcher at Virginia Tech's Crowd Lab, I work on the GraphCrowd platform, a project that investigates how crowdsourced design can be used to improve visualizations of biological graph data. I am also working on improvements to the graph layout game Flud. For these projects I use a variety of different technologies including: Javascript, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and Cytoscape.js
